Spring Break on Fort Myers Beach

If you have ever been to Fort Myers Beach during the months of March and April, you will understand why Vacation Rental by Owners has listed Fort Myers Beach on their annual list of the Top 10 Spring Break Destinations for Families in 2019.

Sunburned students from cold climates, snowbirds, and families who are ready to banish the chill of winter for a week or two descend on Estero Island to soak up the sunshine and play in the sand. To give new visitors an idea just how much buzz on the island during this exciting time of year, our island’s population increases from 8,000 people to over 25,000!

During spring break, families can expect to enjoy local events, delicious local cuisine (including fresh seafood like Pink Gold shrimp), live music, and plenty of sunshine on the sugary sands of Fort Myers Beach.

Our location at Lighthouse Island Resort is the ultimate destination for your Fort Myers Beach Spring Break escape. Walk to the beach, the historic pier, and the arts and entertainment district in seconds. Our world-famous on-site Tiki Bar is the perfect place to plant yourself for afternoon cocktails as the kids splash in our two pools or play under the waterfall.

Cruise on over to Yucatan Beach Stand, a restaurant that is considered by locals and visitors alike as their favorite restaurant on the island. Try their iconic Mojito and enjoy local flavors and live music every night.

Venture away from the resort for an afternoon of family fun at Lovers Key State Park, Zoomers Amusement Park, Beach Bowling Alley, or one of many Mini Golf Adventure Parks. Hop aboard a local dolphin or shelling cruise, or fly with the seagulls and pelicans with an exhilarating parasailing adventure.

Spring Break is a wonderful time for families to enjoy the most exciting time of the year in Southwest Florida, especially when you make Lighthouse Resort Inn and Suites your Florida Spring Break Headquarters!
