There's Always Something Happening

Our lush tropical grounds will make you feel like you’ve been transported to the islands. Well, you have! Located at the North end of Estero Island, our guests can walk miles of beautiful beach at sunrise or sunset.

Unwind at either of our two swimming pools. One is adjacent to our World-Famous Lighthouse Tiki Bar and Grill, with friendly patrons, poolside concoctions, delicious snacks, and meals. The second pool has a soothing waterfall (both pools are heated in the winter months).

Art Walk - 1st Friday

Downtown Fort Myers comes alive ARTistically every first Friday from 5-9 pm! We have lined the streets with local and regional Artists demonstrating and selling their one-of-a-kind works of art with many different styles being represented.

Bayside Park Concert Series - November-July

Are you ready for some fun? Don’t miss an amazing series of FREE outdoor concerts at Bayside Park on Fort Myers Beach from 4-7 pm every Sunday! You’ll hear some of the best local bands playing your favorite tunes while you relax and chill, or dance the night away. The music is calling you!

Music Walk - 3rd Friday

Downtown Fort Myers roads truly come alive on the third Friday of the month from 5-9 pm as local and regional musicians line the streets. Free to the public to attend.

Spring Events

March, April, May

Major League Baseball Spring Training - March

Two major league baseball teams travel to the Fort Myers area for Spring Training (Florida Grapefruit League). The Boston Red Sox play at JetBlue Park and the Minnesota Twins play at Hammond Stadium.

Shrimp Festival - March

The Fort Myers Beach Lions Club Shrimp Festival takes place over the 2nd full weekend of March benefiting the local community. Celebrate with the blessing of the shrimp fleet, a 4K run, parade, pageant, shrimp-eating contest, vendor market, and best of all… the local tasty “Pink Gold” Gulf shrimp.

Rock the Arches Music Festival - May

Cinco De Mayo on Fort Myers Beach includes Latin music, dancers, low riders, a market, food, drink, raffles, and game activities. Fundraiser for Restore Fort Myers Beach Arches raising awareness for the post-Hurricane Ian Shrimp Industry.

Film Festival - May

Fort Myers Film Festival screens independent films from across the globe over five days in different locations with thousands in attendance.

Comic Book & Sci-Fi Convention - June

SWFL Space Con’s comic book and sci-fi convention in mid-June features science fiction writers, comic book artists and illustrators, actors, actresses, vendors, presentations, game demos, drop-in gaming, game tournaments, cosplayers, customs contests, and more!

Independence Day - July

Celebrate the 4th of July with a Times Square parade and spectacular fireworks show over the Gulf of Mexico.

Minor League Baseball - August

During the summer, Hammond Stadium is home to the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels, a Minor League Baseball team of the Florida State League.

Art Walk & Music Walk - August

The Art and Music Walk takes place in downtown Ft. Myers on the 1st and 3rd Friday of every month. The roads truly come alive during the monthly events.

Island Hopper Songwriter Fest - September

10-day music festival held across Southwest Florida featuring performances by the greatest BMI singer-songwriters from Nashville and nationwide.

Roar Offshore Nationals - October

Celebrate the National Championship of Offshore Powerboat Racing at the Roar Offshore Fort Myers Beach Powerboat Races.

Roy Hobbs World Series - October/November

The annual World Series in Fort Myers is Roy Hobbs’ signature amateur baseball tournament that emphasizes competitive play and community service by bringing in more than 200 teams from around the world.

Sand Sculpting Championship - November

The wait is almost over! The American Sand Sculpting Championship returns in 2024!

Gulf Coast Showcase - November

The Gulf Coast Showcase is a college basketball tournament that started in 2013 held at Hertz Arena.

Christmas Boat Parade - December

Usually the first Saturday of December. The parade can be viewed from several locations on the back bay at dusk.

City of Palms Classic - December

The Culligan City of Palms Basketball Classic is universally regarded as the #1 High School Holiday Basketball Tournament in the Country featuring the highest-ranked players and teams.

New Year’s Eve - December

Celebrate the New Year and Fort Myers Beach’s Birthday (1995) with music, dancing, food, drinks, beach-wide parties, and an amazing fireworks display.

Seafood & Music Festival - January

Enjoy local fresh seafood while listening to live musical performances by top musical talents on the waterfront in historic downtown Fort Myers.

Cape Coral Art Fest - January

Showcasing the talents of over 300 artists and craftsmen from around the world. The event is one of the largest special events in Lee County, which draws over 140,000 attendees to appreciate art the second full weekend in January.

SWFL Wine & Food Fest - January

This renowned and prestigious two-day festival features the signature cuisine of extraordinary chefs, delicious wines from renowned vintners, and a live auction held throughout SWFL. Proceeds benefit local pediatric healthcare.

Caloosahatchee Celtic Festival - January

This renowned and prestigious two-day festival features the signature cuisine of extraordinary chefs, delicious wines from renowned vintners, and a live auction held throughout SWFL. Proceeds benefit local pediatric healthcare.

ArtFest Fort Myers - February

90,000+ people visit the riverfront in downtown Fort Myers the 1st weekend in February to meet worldwide visual artists, sample fun cuisine, visit special exhibits and artist demonstrations, and see interactive art activities and performing arts. Supports arts in education through art education and outreach programs.

Edison Festival of Light - February

Since 1938 the Edison Festival of Light has brought the entire SWFL community out for a weekend in celebration of Edison with car shows, vendors and crafts, a 5K run, a parade, and more.
